All-Purpose Savory Marinade

Savory, balanced, and quietly useful, this all-purpose savory marinade gives meat, fish, tofu, and vegetables deeper flavor with very little effort. It works fast, browns well, and keeps weeknight cooking moving.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml neutral oil
  • 15 ml citrus juice
  • 5 ml honey
  • 5 ml grated ginger or garlic

Instructions

  • Whisk the soy sauce, oil, citrus juice, and honey until smooth.
  • Stir in the ginger or garlic.
  • Use immediately, or refrigerate until ready to marinate.
  • Toss with your protein or vegetables and let sit briefly before cooking.
